WALLINGFORD FIRE: Earlier this evening, Wallingford dispatch received calls on a structure fire with flames showing. All companies in town responded with Meriden Engine 1 and Car 9, Car 1 on the ticket for R.I.T. Upon arrival, companies were faced with hoarding conditions and heavy fire. Multiple mutual aid was brought in to the scene. One member of Wallingford called a “Mayday” and was removed from the structure and cared for by EMS. He was conscious and alert and talking. Meriden cleared after going to work and provided station coverage standby afterwards at Wallingford’s HQ.
