MERIDEN FIRE: Windsor Ave. this afternoon at 12:35pm, reports of a structure fire on the second floor of a three story apartment building with an occupant trapped on the third floor with their dog. Engine 2 arrived first due (Acting Officer @s_henion39 ) reporting fire and smoke showing from the 2nd floor and to start the working fire. Car 4 (Shift Commander) called a second alarm due to the occupant trapped and size of the structure. Occupant was safe on the third floor with companies sheltering in place with the party and eventually exited the building. Companies opened up on the B side and found smoldering conditions. Ticket: Engines 2, 4, 3, Truck 1, Cars 4 and 9. Second alarm brought Engines 1 and 5. Car 3 covering the city with mutual aid and the FMO on scene to investigate.
